The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) is the Trade Association which represents North American manufacturers of Builders Hardware. BHMA develops and maintains ANSI-approved standards for a variety of functional and physical product attributes. One of those standards – ANSI/BHMA A156.18 – verifies and certifies the material characteristics and durability of finishes.
